Providing for Pollinators: How to Create Your Own Microprairie

Providing for Pollinators: How to Create Your Own Microprairie In-Person

Many species of pollinating insects are in decline, due to a lack of quality habitat. Join Scott Palla from the Region Ringnecks Chapter of Pheasants Forever to learn how you can protect and provide for our pollinators by creating an at-home microprairie.  Then, hear from 219 GreenConnect advocate and Earth Charter Indiana Regional Resilience Coordinator, Kathy Sipple, to hear about native plant procurement, and how Northwest Indiana can work toward National Wildlife Federation Regional Habitat Certification areas.  Each registrant will receive a seed packet with a variety of native wildflowers to get them started.

For adults ages 18 and up. Registration opens May 11. Register online or call 219-926-7696 to reserve your spot.
